Registration is now open for the 3rd Annual Rhode Island Aquatic Hall of Fame 1.2 Mile Open-Water Swim on Saturday, July 12th, at The Newport Beach Club in Portsmouth! This event was created and is run by RIAHOF/SwimRI members, so we hope to see everyone there in your SwimRI shirts! New this year: 50 more swimmers (200 cap), RFID chip timing, a Step-Up Relay team award and an on-site breakfast buffet at the clubhouse (the first 100 online entrants receive a breakfast discount). TYR Wetsuit Demo/Sale April 30th at Camire's

Per Coach Fred, Camire's Athletic Soles in Wakefield is hosting a TYR wetsuit demo and 30% off sale on Wednesday, April 30th, from 5:30 until ? Swag (free stuff) will be given to the first 50 attendees!

TYR rep, 2x Hawaii Ironman finisher and fast swimmer Sarah Baker will be on hand with other experienced fitters to get you into the right wetsuit for your body type. Other wetsuit brands available to try on include Blue Seventy, Quintana Roo and Aquaman.

More RWU Schedule Updates

Thursday 4/24 practice at RWU is canceled for this week only. Updated RWU Saturday Schedule: 4/26 @ 7:00-8:30am, 5/3 @ 1:00-3:00pm (following USA Swimming meet), 5/10 @ 7:00-8:30am. Matt Emmert or Colin Fisher will coach. No practice 5/17 due to commencement. The RWU pool will most likely be closed for repairs starting 5/19. More info at Locations & Schedules.

Revised Bristol/RWU Practice Schedule

Starting April 9th, the coached Tuesday Masters practice at Roger Williams University is canceled until further notice due to lack of support for a 7:30-9:00pm workout. However, Masters swimmers can still pay the $5 drop-in fee to swim on your own at that time. The rest of the RWU practice schedule remains unchanged. Updated NAC Practice Schedule

Effective immediately, Newport Athletic Club's Wednesday Masters practice has been moved to 6:30-7:45pm to accommodate a class that runs until 6:30. The Monday 6:00-7:15pm practice schedule remains unchanged. There will be a renewed effort to start on time, generally with a 10-minute unstructured warmup period followed by structured sets. Written workouts totaling 2000-4200 yards are usually available for 4-6 different levels. For more practice info/options see Locations & Schedules.
